Well at least SOMEONE clinched

I am oddly pleased about the Rays clinching a playoff spot today.  I was in a restaurant that had the Fox game on the television in their bar, and the celebration was happening.  Someone said “Don’t let Cyn see that” and I laughed.  I’m happy for the team.  To come back from being the worst team in the league, to staying in first place in the division for the majority of the season and clinching a playoff spot – that’s amazing and the team should be really quite proud.

Now I hope they go down like dogs for the rest of the season.  🙂

Saw pieces of the Sox game…oh well, what are you going to do?  In about 45 minutes it’ll be Sunday.  A new day and a new game to focus on.

Thanks to a generous invite, my last game at Fenway this year will be Monday night.  For some reason, I had it figured that Daisuke was pitching but now it seems that Joshua Patrick will be pitching.  Either would make me happy, but I think it’s pretty cool I’ll get to see Beckett my last time in Fenway this year.   And I know this is twisted, but I’m a little bummed I won’t get to see Cliff Lee pitch.  He’s pitching Tuesday night against Wake.  Which should worry me more than it does.  I just think it would be neat to see him pitch in person.

As a way to wind down tonight, I decided to watch the Dodgers/Giants game.  A Manny Ramirez 3-run home run annoyed the shit out of me enough to put on reruns of “House” to fall asleep to.  Oh, the wild life I lead.

😀

Yep, it’s still out there.  My willpower is impressive, no?  😉
