Hello from ‘my’ hotel! (Okay, it’s my company’s hotel…but they tell me that means it’s ‘mine’ as well! Dig me, I don’t even have a car but I ‘own’ a hotel!) In spite of sustaining a minor (that felt like a major)injury before the fun started yesterday, I had a great day, that turned into a great night and a great early morning. I should be more tired than I am, but I’m pacing myself for the rest of the week!
Have a laid-back day planned with Dale that will turn into a fun-filled evening with Dale, her husband, a bunch of my sistahs and a lot of other friends! Twenty of us (at LEAST twenty) will be in Fenway tonight to see Jon Lester go for win number 5! A quick glance at boston.com tells me even the Globe is optimistic about the second half. So am I – and I can’t wait for it to begin. I’m very happy that my office’s summer outing was scheduled for yesterday (okay, so I’m the one who picked the date. Sometimes I do know what I’m doing!) so waiting for tonight wasn’t too painful!
Sadly, this summer’s Hot Stove, Cool Music concert last night wasn’t quite what Theo planned. Sounds like they still had a great time. I wish I had been there, but am a little less bummed about it given the weather.
