Once again, Wake gets no run support…

…and now the sox are a 1/2 game out of first.  Actually, being a half game out of first on June 4 bothers me less than the fact that half the team decides not to show up whenever Wake pitches.

In other news around MLB…because of the rain delay and cable television, I got to see Bronson go 3-3 last night with FOUR RBI)!  That was a lot of fun.  I also got to see Andy Pettitte try to stretch a respectable double into a triple.  What was he thinking?

(I have to note at least once that David Pauley is going to make another start.  In New York.  Next week.  Heck, why not, Tito?  It isn’t like these games are actually important now, huh?)

But, most important is today.  Matt Clement is on the mound versus some kid named Zach Miner.  Fellas, it would be nice if you could give Matty a lot of run support today so he can win a dam game and help build up his confidence.  Thanks in advance.

Speaking of Matty, this article was pointed out to me yesterday.  (Thank you, by the way!)  I don’t mind linking it because Gordon Edes is the author.  It’s just reinforcing the idea that he really needs some support right now.

So, don’t forget to send him a postcard by June 6 (that fits into the window of opportunity we have to assume that he’ll actually get the cards before the Sox leave Boston again).

I’m going to go ease my annoyance by looking at pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal at the MTV Movie awards.

Have a great day, folks!
