I only watched this because I have a friend who adores this film and figured “why not?”. I’m actually a little sorry I watched it because, although Casey Affleck’s acting in this is fabulous, sitting through the violence (here’s a tip if you haven’t see it: don’t get attached to Jessica Alba. I actually had to mute the tv during her murder scene.) the lousy acting of Kate Hudson and the dragging storyline certainly weren’t worth it for the absolutely shitty payoff at the end.
No way to get your character out of his situation so you blow everyone one up? Go to hell, Michael Winterbottom (the director). Go to hell.
