Jeff Horrigan: Newest Recipient of My Wrath

In an effort to pull me from my newly-found allegiance to Amalie Benjamin, Jeff Horrigan decides today to slip a Kyle blurb into his coverage of Pawtucket today:

Kyle Snyder [stats], meanwhile, is back on the disabled list with a right groin strain after continuing to struggle at Pawtucket. The right-hander is 1-3 with a 6.28 ERA in eight games, including seven starts.

Now, I’m totally nitpicking I know, but this could have been written better. Because Kyle’s last couple of appearances before he was hurt actually showed marked improvement. So he wasn’t ‘continuing to struggle’ he was actually ‘beginning to come around’.  Not only that, but he isn’t “back on the dl after continuing to struggle”.  He came off the dl and then started a game in which he had to be taken out because he re-injured himself (or, by his own admission, because he came back too soon).

Again, it’s nitpicky on my part, but it’s lazy on Horrigan’s part. All he did was, seemingly, look at Kyle’s numbers, not actually pay attention to the damn team and its players. Annoys me to no end.

I’m with two friends and waiting for more to arrive, and geeks that we are we’re all ‘working’ on our computers. Ah, old habits.

Sox at 3:55pm. McCarver and Buck…oh happy day.

Suck it up folks and enjoy!
