CHB rides again

In his article in the Globe today titled "Enjoy it for what it’s worth", Dan Shaughnessy writes
"Another strange night in the “let’s-take-a-year-off-from-the-playoffs" Red Sox
season"
and  "Once again paying no attention to the master plan designed by the men in
baseball ops, the Red Sox beat the White Sox, 1-0. Disregarding the symbolic
memo from above, the Red Sox tonight have a chance to sweep the champs, and some
dreamers no doubt are talking about the playoffs again."
and my favorite, "To their credit, the men in the Boston dugout are still playing as if the games
count."

Let me just say, this is one of those times where I really wish MLBlogs would let me write "**** you, Dan".

Hey, I forgot to mention that while waiting in line to get into Fenway on Monday, Jere was standing right next to me and I didn’t even realize it until he said something to me.  How odd that we’d be standing right next to each other in line when there are roughly 36,000 people around us and we were sitting on opposite sides of the field?  It was great to see him again.  And together we brought good mojo to the team.  🙂  Well, together with "Empy" who I finally got to meet!  I really need to update my links so you all can find all the good Red Sox blogs!

My first day back at work today since last Thursday and I’m feeling the residuals from my ‘vacation’.  Might be a long day.

Regardless of what the Curly-Haired Boyfriend of Gordon Edes has to say, I know these guys are still in it.  I know it won’t be easy…but it won’t be impossible either.  So Dan Shaughnessy, kindly go sit on a tack.  Thanks.

Rather than keep the sour grapes of CHB in your mouth this morning, I leave you with the words of my man  Mike Timlin from last night.

"Our race is not over. We know it. Everybody in town knows it. Everybody in other towns
knows it. We just have to take care of business."

Have a great day, folks!
