Happiness is…

So I’m minding my own business and the iPhone buzzes with an email message. Turns out it is from a friendly fella name “Jon” who works with the Lowell Spinners. (He’s the dude I emailed when we went to see Kyle Snyder pitch and Kyle wasn’t there. I foolishly thought he wouldn’t respond and he did. Quickly and on a Sunday morning! I am an idiot and Jon is a good guy!)

He wrote that he wanted to follow up on our last email exchange and let me know that Kyle is “…again in town and scheduled (again!) to be the starting pitcher in Thursday night’s game…”.

I’m telling you, I have “people” everywhere (even ones, apparently, I didn’t realize I had!).

After much pondering on whether I wanted to make the trip to Lowell (and if I COULD – those tickets sell out quickly!), I was gently persuaded to do just that. So, yes, we’re headed out to Lowell tomorrow to see Kyle start for the Spinners. The wording of Jon’s email makes me think that ‘travel’ won’t be an issue this time.

As I just wrote to a friend, I’m ridiculously happy. Not just for the opportunity to see Kyle pitch live for the first time this year, but for the fact that he’s back up here and that much closer to being back at Pawtucket. My hopes for Kyle are high so each step forward is one in the right direction.

Kick ass, Kyle! 🙂
