Way to go, Timmy! Now go get some rest!Wake pitched a great game – again! Take that, naysayers! Even sick (he was given intravenous fluids a couple of days ago!), he pitched 7 SCORELESS innings giving up only 3 hits against the Twins! Pretty damned impressive.
All four teams below the Sox in the AL East are 6.5 games behind. The Sox are 19-9, the O’s, Rays & Jays are 13-6 and the Yankees are 12-15. I know it seems early to follow the standings, but I want to see the Red Sox do this year what they couldn’t do last year, capitalize on the shortcomings of the Yankees (and the rest of the East).
So far, so good.
