“I still think we’re the best team. Sometimes the best team doesn’t win.”

Ah, Johnny.  See, when another team beats you, in a five game series that is win or go home, that means they are better than  you.  It really is quite simple isn’t it?

(MODIFIED on 10/9/06 to add that when told about Johnny’s comment, Brian Cashman responded: "We didn’t earn the right to say that."  Even CASHMAN gets it!)

Kudos to Kenny Rogers, Jeremy Bonderman and the rest of the Detroit Tigers for shoving it in the faces of every one of their critics.  Including, at times, me.

I wanted the Twins to play the Yankees because I thought the Twins had the better chance of beating them.  What the hell do I know, eh?

The rest of this post-season will be quite enjoyable.
