Enough of this wallowing in self-pity junk. This run of losses stinks, but it certainly doesn’t prophetize the end for the Red Sox.
So today…I’m sending out only positive vibes here and in my ‘real life’ as well. Everyone goes through tough times, even million-dollar ball players…and they don’t need to be beat over the head with reminders of how bad things are. I come from a family that has always taught the power of positive thinking and how important it is to keep spirits up for us and those around us.
So that’s what I’m doing. Of course, I realize this will backfire for the knee-jerk negativity-loving folks out there…but the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, folks!
So, for all the believers…I give you the following. My friend Tom wrote it last year, probably around this time, maybe a little earlier, and I posted it back in September. It rings as "Tru" today as it did then. And I’m thankful that not only is Tom my friend, but that he’s so level-headed when others around him are in freak-out mode. Love you, Tru!
