Johnny has a boo-boo…

…and the Red Sox and their fans say ‘duh’.

Johnny Damon said his sore left shoulder, which has kept him out of Team USA’s starting lineup in the last two games in the World Baseball Classic, likely will prevent him from playing the field Thursday and could jeopardize his eligibility for the next round of the tournament, if the US advances.

Can’t say that we didn’t tell you so.

I had to laugh at the front page of MLBlogs today.  Apparently Raymond, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays mascot, has a blog.

Last year, when the Sox were in Florida, Jerry Remy did a riff on Raymond that lasted many innings.  See, Raymond took a Wally, the Green Monster, doll and basically beat it up in front of the fans.  Stomping on it, throwing it all around…

So Remy went on about how Raymond should be brought up on charges (for those of you not familiar with the banter of Jerry Remy and Don Orsillo…this was all said in fun, relax)….and what a horrible representative he was for the Marlins.  Really funny stuff.  So seeing Raymond blogging brings back that memory and cracks me up.

In linking to his blog for this post, I decided to read a bit and the first thing I notice is how Raymond makes fun of the Red Sox fans and their accent…and then talks about hanging with Wally at Disney World…so I guess if Wally doesn’t hold a grudge, we shouldn’t either.  🙂  Good luck blogging, Raymond.

One word about Bronson’s performance today…suckitudey.  (Although, after the first inning he DID settle down…I’m still not closing the book on him – but man he makes it tough!)

(Thanks to Kellia for pointing out my brain cramp.  I know darned well which team Raymond represents…but somehow the message never got from my brain to my fingertips while writing this originally)
