So unless something drastic happens in the next three innings, the Red Sox and the Yankees will have the same exact record (slight pause while I say that Bellhorn can say thank you to his old friend Arroyo for letting him get a hit)…but the Yankees are the AL East Champions.
And this is why it bothers me very little. The Yankees beat the Red Sox head to head so they get the East title…and that’s fine…it stinks, since they’ve been talking about a playoff game for a week, but whatever. The Yanks and the Sox will be in the playoffs…the way people seem to think things should be.
