Jeff Bridges is amazing in this film. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. And given my propensity to listen to country music, I enjoyed sitting back and listening to the songs. Aside from those two things…I really wasn’t that impressed with this film. Maggie Gyllenhaal…well, to me she’s an acquired taste. The fact that I wasn’t sad when she got killed in The Dark Knight should tell you I don’t enjoy watching her. Colin Farrell is always nice to watch, though, so there was that.
Maybe I’m still in a mood from this cold that won’t go away but this film pretty much embodies “meh” for me.
