Hands down, my favorite show on television is USA’s Psych. I loved the premise when I first heard of it and have watched every episode in real time (meaning, as it aired not on Hulu or waiting for it to hit On Demand). The chemistry of all the actors, but especially James Roday and Dulé Hill, keeps me coming back. November, and the rest of season five, can’t come soon enough.
So it was great to read at TV by the Numbers, that the USA Network has renewed it for another season (their sixth!). All this show does is make me smile, laugh and feel good. Even their promos do it for me.
USA has created some really good original programming but for me none of it tops Psych. The plots might be basic and the dialogue silly but for 60 minutes each week I know I’m sitting down to nothing but well executed fun. Kudos to USA for acknowledging what fans of the show already knew – this one is a keeper.
