To give you an idea of how things have been going: I had no realization, until I logged on this morning, that I hadn’t posted since Saturday night. Things have been a little, well let’s just say “crazy” and leave it at that.
The only full game I got to watch out of all four against the White Sox was yesterday’s. Yeah, I picked a keeper, huh? I was definitely encouraged by the lack of home runs Mr. Beckett gave up so there’s that. Aside from that, losing three out of four to the White Sox doesn’t leave me feeling all warm and fuzzy.
But, as always until the end of September (well, this year the beginning of October) we get another series to focus on. A two-day series at home against Baltimore with Buchholz and Byrd on the mound for the Sox. I can’t even describe how pleased I am that I’ll be in New York for the Byrd appearance. Fair is fair, he’s had one good and one bad outing, so I won’t pick on him just yet. Wednesday should be interesting.
A shout-out to any Bisons/Mets fans who might know the answer to my query: Kyle Snyder was supposed to pitch on Sunday and didn’t. Nor did he pitch during the Bisons last game yesterday. So my hope is that he got called up but my concern is that he got hurt. Neither of these have I been able to confirm or deny. Throw a gal a bone, peeps!
Speaking of the Mets, do their fans need any more abuse heaped upon them? What the hell is this?
My trip to the Bronx means yet another week without a live chat but I’m hoping we’ll have plenty in October!!
The plan is to bring cameras good enough to take some nice shots of the new stadium but not so good that they won’t let us in – so I’m not sure what they’ll be just yet but I’ll definitely have some photos to share. This is the first time I’ve ever made a trip to a baseball park where one of ‘my’ teams wasn’t playing so it’ll be a bit odd but I’m still looking forward to it. Revenge for Chris Carter will be on the menu at some point. Bwahahaha.
Thanks to everyone for the support during this weird and trying time. I’m hoping that by the end of the week I’ll be getting back into the groove of things here.
