Good and Bad

Two games in a row I get to see the Red Sox offense take off in person – a gal could get used to this.

Except for the jackasses who booed Mike Timlin – it was a fabulous night at Fenway, once again.

I left my camera at home tonight.  Choosing to just go and enjoy the evening without it.  So no photos from tonight.

Still fuming about the booers.  There was no need of it.  Nothing pisses me off more than hearing supposed Red Sox fans booing one of their own players.  Especially a veteran player like Timlin who was a big part of both championship teams.  Where the hell do people get off?

In happier news, Kyle is officially off the disabled list and back with the PawSox!  Received a text message from a friend tonight who was in Pawtucket and saw him at the park.  Projo now has a blurb up about it as well.   I’m so happy for Kyle!   The PawSox won on Wednesday night, putting them 1.5 games out of first place.  Their “magic number” to get into the playoffs is 9 – and now Kyle gets to be a part of that.  Congrats, Kyle and continued positive vibes!  (Lincoln Holdzkom was dfa’d tonight…good luck Lincoln!)

Rays are, currently, winning (with only a half-inning left to play in Oakland).  So the Sox won’t gain any ground there if nothing changes…but a win is a win and this one was big.  The team has already won the series so tomorrow will be gravy!

Hello and goodbye to David Pauley.  Up for one night and not used.  Jeff Bailey is up to fill the spot.  That must drive the team and the fans crazy in Pawtucket.  Middle of a hot pennant race for THEM and the Sox are plucking out their players!   All the better for the big team, I know, but it must be frustrating.

I’m annoyed that on a night where Crabcakes did so well, the Sox won again and Kyle gets reinstated, I’m cranky because of the booing jackasses.  It’s crap like that making me sometimes not want to go to Fenway.

So I’ll watch the rest of the Rays/A’s game and clear my head of the jerks at Fenway and think about all the good baseball-related stuff ahead of us!
