What a night!

Very cool night of sports for the New England fans! Sox kick butt at Fenway, PawSox win in the 13th inning at McCoy and the freaking Boston Celtics STEAL game four against the Lakers to take a 3-1 lead in the NBA finals!

I missed most of both Sox games. (Watching the Red Sox in repeat as I type this.) George Kottaras was the hero in Pawtucket and there were a fistful of “heroes” in Boston.

Jon Lester pitched pretty damn well. (Two games in a row…amazing, Crabcakes!!!) Mikey Lowell with a grand slam! JD Drew with another homerun. and Youk adding one for good measure. Hell, even my man Mike Timlin made a comeback from his dismal appearance on Wednesday to pitch a clean ninth inning. Woo-hoo teamwork!

Speaking of teamwork, Red Auerbach is smiling down on Paul Pierce and the Celtic green tonight. If you missed the game, you missed a game go from the suckiest to the best basketball game you might have ever witnessed! I’m wide awake right now from all the adrenalin conjured up during this game.

I have three friends who will be in Cincinnati for the Sox/Reds series. Friday night is Justin Masterson v Aaron Harang. Poor Aaron hasn’t quite been the pitcher he was a year ago. Here’s hoping the Sox can totally capitalize on that at the Great American Ballpark! (Positive vibes for Tek and his strep throat!)

Bronson won’t be pitching against the Sox (nor the Yankees next weekend…which means I just might cancel that trip too) this weekend, but NESN will be giving us Bronson coverage on Sunday. Until then, he pitched six scoreless innings tonight (and still got a no-decision even though the Reds won) and hit his fourth career homerun. Woo-hoo, Bronson!!!!!
