It’s as if we never said goodbye

I feel like I’ll forever be behind in posting about the weekend in Baltimore. So until I do that, I need to send out a “hello” and “thank you” to the Cash family in Richmond, Virginia. It really was amazing that you took the time to say “hello” to me.

:waves to Richmond!:

I missed most of last night’s game but am pleased with the outcome. Masterson got the win, as did the Sox, and the bats came alive yet again. Good to see.

As I suspected/worried, Kyle has been put on the DL again with a groin strain. (You wouldn’t know this, though, by going to the PawSox website. Honestly, how difficult is it to update the site????) Positive vibes for Kyle. Here’s  hoping he’s back on the mound soon!!!

Tonight for Pawtucket, Clay Buchholz is pitching. In Boston, it’ll be Josh Beckett. Dale and I will be at the game tonight – thanks to Tru – so I hope the gray skies I woke up to are gone by then.

We’re coming close to the end of the Hazel Mae era. (Gray skies are already clearing – woo!) It’s about damn time.

My mortal enemy, Amalie Benjamin, has a fairly enjoyable piece about Justin Masterson today. (Although the part about his wife baking cookies for the team sort of makes me cringe. I guess it’s cute. I just don’t see doing something like that when your husband is with the big club. Maybe I’m just cynical or crabby or both.) I love the typo on the byline. “;Amalie fenjamin”. Ah, the standards for editing at the Globe are quite high, I see.  “fenajmin”.   I like it. 🙂

Got to see Pedro pitch last night before I fell asleep. He’ll always be a favorite, regardless of where he is. He went six innings last night – it was great to see! (Hey, another New York team played last night. They didn’t fare as well. Nor did their new young starting pitcher. So sad. )

I hear the birds singing and it’s time to get cracking – ;have a great day everyone. Send out the PVs to Kyle and Papi
