It’s a Beautiful Morning

And as such, I feel the need to say something positive about Jon Lester. Hate leaving bad vibes out there.

So here goes. He pitched AS WELL on three days rest as he does on normal rest. How’s that?

(Also, in his press conference last night, he made no excuses and pretty much shot down the reporters every time they tried to use the “three days rest” excuse. He was having none of it. Good for you, Jon. Now please stop stinking. Thanks.)

So we get Masterson today, Wake on Friday and Beckett on Sunday? Who will pitch on Saturday? Matsuzaka if he’s feeling better? Tavarez? Why not give Pedroia a shot? You know he’d do it if they asked him.

Mike Lowell in Pawtucket for the weekend and possibly back with the team on Tuesday. The PawSox are only in Pawtucket on Friday, though, so you’ll need to head to Buffalo if you can’t make it to Rhode Island on the 25th.

I had a dream that they brought Kyle up for a start this week and then dfa’d him again the next day after he pitched a complete game. I woke up a little pissed at Theo. (“It was just a dream, it was just a dream!”)

If you can find your way to a television at 1:35 today, you really should. It’s always fun to watch the major league debut of a player – especially a pitcher. I’ll have no tv at my disposal, but will have Joe Castiglione to let me know how Justin fares.

Hope folks get to go outside and enjoy the day! I leave you with my niece Madison’s favorite song to sing on the American Idol karaoke game on the Wii:[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eONhto0x_nI&hl=en]
