7-5 = Better than a kick in the head

Papelbon tried to make it interesting at the end, but ultimately the good guys won. So that’s a nice way to end the night.

Not real pleased with that schmuck Farnsworth throwing behind Manny’s head just because Manny owns Mike Mussina…but quite proud that Beckett and Tito had the presence of mind to let it go…for now.

Speaking of Beckett, he was fabulous.  What did you expect?  🙂

No more Yanks/Sox garbage for a while, so that’s nice. Kason Gabbard and David Murphy are coming to town and will get their rings (Wonder if they’ll do that before the game? If so, KellyO will attend THREE ring ceremonies!). You remember Kason and David, right? The guys Theo gave up to give us Eric Gagne. That worked out well. (Ironically, Gagne got another save today. Makes me want to throw something. Then again, I have him on my fantasy team so I’m a total hypocrite! What can I say? I like the underdogs!)

I’m looking forward to crashing at home tomorrow night and enjoying the game on tv (Bronson is pitching tomorrow night so I’ll be able to switch back and forth from the comfort of my comfy recliner!). Daisuke is pitching. If I get home early enough, I might live-blog. 🙂

Long weekend coming up – don’t forget there’s an 11am game on Monday!
