Baseball on a Snowy Saturday

Well, I guess it isn’t really a snow’y’ Saturday.  More liked a snowED Saturday.  Now it’s raining and starting to make everything look ugly.  But my street is still kind of pretty.

I enjoy being snowed in on the weekend (although the commute home last night did give me some heart palpitations!) and it’ll be a little more fun today watching the Sox in their green caps and jerseys on NESN!

I was hoping (and could have sworn that I read) that Bronson was going to pitch today against the Sox, but, apparently, it’ll be Kyle Lohse against Jonathan Papelbon.   So I’ll get to focus more on how Papelbon’s pitching looks instead of how Bronson’s hair looks!

Today is the holiday of my people!  I’m a lame Irishman on St. Patrick’s Day.  I enjoy listening to Irish music, maybe watching an Irish film (has anyone ever seen "The Rising of the Moon"?) but I usually refrain from imbibing too much.  I’m very proud of my Irish heritage – and not so proud of the stereotypes that in invokes (I’ve never watched "The Black Donnellys" nor "The Departed" and don’t ever plan to – yes, I know I’m missing an Academy Awarded masterpiece – I really don’t care.  Besides, I read the entire synopsis at "The Movie Spoiler" so I know exactly what I’m ‘missing’).

That was a hell of a digression!

Anyway, the plan is to live-blog today’s 1:05pm game.  It’ll be the first time I do so on this site, so there are bound to be kinks needing to be worked out.  I’m up for it  It’ll be a lazy day of baseball and blogging for those of you interested!
