Help “K” Cancer and maybe have a beer…

I should be posting this at the "K" Cancer blog, but, seemingly, that account has been canceled (the page is still available, but I can’t can’t get in to edit).  I’m not sure what the deal is, but I’m still waiting to hear back from MLB.com about it.  That might take a while, so I’m posting this here.  Thanks for indulging me.  🙂

On Monday (Feb 5th) I’ll be at The Harp (across from the place where the Celtics and Bruins lose) selling "K Cancer" t-shirts to the masses hanging out for the Beanpot tourney. A friend has friends and worked it out for me, so the two of us will be there selling the shirts for the better part of the night.

If you’re in the mood to drink with rowdy hockey fans and maybe donate some money to Fred Hutchinson/Dana Farber and buy a shirt with Jon Lester’s name and number on the back…well, stop by and say ‘hi’.

We should be setting up around 4pm.

(T-shirts are $18 each and come in navy with green lettering or red with black lettering AND can be purchased WITHOUT hauling your butt to The Harp – just let me know if you’re interested!)

I’d like to take this time to thank a few people.  Special thanks to Mary Ellen for helping set all this up at The Harp.  She’s a good friend and she’s been such a tremendous help and I’ll never be able to thank her enough.  I need to publicly thank Kelly O for her generous donation to the cause.  I’d also like to thank my dear friend Susan.  She’s another person who I can’t thank enough for her support and assistance. There are many others, my family (especially my mother and my sister!), my ‘sistahs’, the Lesters and the Davises.  These folks have all supported and assisted me with this as well and it means the world to me.

And thanks to all of you who have purchased shirts, made donations and spread the word about the t-shirts to your friends and relatives.  Know that your generosity is truly being appreciated by everyone touched by it.

So if you can make it by, please do, it should be a great night!
