Hope everyone got through the new year’s weekend safely! I can’t believe how the time flies. I was on vacation the week between Christmas and New Year’s and it went by in a blur.
I’ve been spending most of my free time playing with Holly… the newest addition to the family – and neglecting my blog. I’m hoping to be more focussed this year and part of that will be updating the blog more than I have been. Bear with me…I’m a work in progress!
I’ve also had a sinus infection (yay) so my brain hasn’t been totally focussed on all the talk going on around the Manny trade. Suffice to say for now that if they could pull off Manny and Clement for Tejada and Luis Matos…I wouldn’t be terribly upset. Short of that, as big a pain in the butt as he can be…I’d like Manny to be wandering around in left field for us come Spring Training 2006.
And speaking of Spring Training 2006…a quick reminder if you’re going down there in March to take part in Springing for a Cure, the charity dinner and auction benefitting Curt’s Pitch for ALS being held on Saturday, March 11, 2006.
Very good friends of mine run the benefit and they’d love to see you down there! Say hi to Tom, Dale and Susan while you’re there – and there is a possibility of Curt and Shonda showing up as well (they have the first two times the dinner was held).
Take care everyone and be good to each other.
