Happy Truck Day!

Today is my first time making the trek to Fenway for our beloved "Truck Day".

"You’re going to watch trucks…drive away?" is the response I’ve received from a few.

"You’re going to TRUCK DAY?  Take pictures!!!" is the response I’ve received from those who "get" it.

The trucks leaving Fenway signifies the beginning of Spring for many of us.  In a few days, pitchers and catchers will report and the rest of the team will follow – and then we get baseball.  Real, live, baseball.

So, yeah, I’m a little jazzed about the damn trucks leaving Boston today.  You should be too!  🙂

One quick note about Curt Schilling and his arm:  if he can’t play this year, I’ll be sad, but not devastated.  If he ends up being able to play after the All Star break, that’ll be a bonus.  He did a lot for this team, but the Front Office didn’t back off on the Santana trade because they had Curt Schilling in their rotation.  I have much faith that this team will soldier on quite well without Curt in one of the rotation spots.  It’s lousy that it had to happen, but life is funny that way.  Good luck with the arm, Curt.  Hope to see you, at least, one last time in Fenway.

I’ll have pictures of Truck Day later.  Be prepared for shots of, well, trucks.

Have a great day, folks!
