Never say die

JD didn’t let us down.

Curt didn’t let us down.

Daisuke and the rest of the team won’t let us down tonight.

Everyone is going to tell you how tonight all hinges on Daisuke.  Baloney.  Does ANYone really think Tito is going to sit idly by and watch him struggle?  Does anyone honestly think every pitcher, short of Curt, WON’T be in the bullpen tonight, ready to jump in when needed?    A loss tonight means no tomorrow, so I think it’s safe to say Daisuke’s leash will be short.

Then again, I also believe this is a great situation for Daisuke to be pitching in.  Sure there is the "Game 7" pressure, but there is also the "there are nine guys behind me who can help me pick it up if I struggle" mindset.  Daisuke was, reportedly, devastated over his last performance and the team’s lost.  I don’t see him letting that happen again.  I just don’t.

And at the risk of sounding attitudey, all of you who either commented or emailed me about how ‘washed up’ Curt is?  How is that serving of crow tasting this lovely Sunday morning?

More red and more noise tonight Red Sox Nation.  Fenway was rocking last night, hell, as early as the first inning.  It was fabulous to see and hear.  More, everyone, I want more.  I want more noise, I want more runs and I want more Red Sox baseball!

I couldn’t be happier for this man if I knew him personally!

Game 7.  It’ll probably be a little stressful tonight, but I sense it will be absolutely worth it when it’s all over!
