Priceless

Losing one game out of a three-game series isn’t a big deal.  But when your pitching is stellar and you can’t score a run, but have no trouble leaving 12+ men on base, it’s a bit pathetic, no?

Special thanks to Tito for not even bothering to get off his ass and argue the ‘out’ that was obviously trapped in the ninth.  With JD’s hit, it could have been a tie game.  But Tito’s all about the future, right? That’s why it never occurred to him that a half-day off for Manny would benefit everyone all around.  Manny gets some rest and then comes off the bench to maybe knock in a run that the others couldn’t.  Hey, Manny got his ‘rest’ and that’s what counts, right Tito?

Again, one loss is no big deal.  But Matsuzaka and Gagne pitched really well and Timlin pitched himself out of big trouble.  All for nothing.  It’s irritating , to say the least, to see the team lose a one-run game to the Devil Rays.  And there’s no excuse for it.  Should have never happened.
