It’s an odd feeling to go from being proud of the fight in the team, even though they lost, to being thoroughly disgusted by the way they played.
I told folks I was concerned about tonight’s game because they don’t fare too well against lefties they haven’t seen before. But, honestly, this was Lenny Dinardo. I didn’t expect 2 hits, 6 walks and NO RUNS against him.
Sox left the bases loaded twice…and had more LOB than just from those two times…and hit into 5 double plays.
First time this season that they lost 3 in a row, so I suppose I should give them a break. I don’t believe for a minute that this is the beginning of some ‘swoon’, but the lead in the East is 9 games…I want them to get back to double digits and soon.
I’m taking the request of the ladies. After I post this, Beth’s Mike Lowell photo is going up again so we have something nice to look at come morning, instead of my cranky rant about a shitty game.
Incidentally, Daisuke looked great tonight. He should give each and every one of his teammates (except Javier Lopez) a kick in the nuts for ruining his game.
