Congratulations to the Cards

So much for the Tigers ‘winning in 3’, eh?  (I have to find a link to that prediction!)

Anthony Reyes stepped it up and pitched a gem.  Scott Rolen, Jim Edmonds and Albert Pujols played the way they’re supposed to.  And the game was won.

Verlander pitched a good game to a point and then caved.

But, I’m betting what I’ll be reading tomorrow is, "the Tigers had too much rest", "the Cardinals got lucky", yada yada yada.  The Cardinals played better than the Tigers and they just took home field advantage away from them.  This, of course, could mean nothing if the Tigers come back hard, but right now it puts the Cardinals in a very good spot.

In one game the Cardinals made most of the talking sports heads look idiotic.  Beautiful.
