Rainy Day Ramblings

I still feel like crappe…so this might  not be totally coherent.  Bear with me.

I hate off days for the Sox and I hate rain outs even more.  But in this case, it might not be so bad.  Guys get a day off and then the double header tomorrow.  We have enough depth to cover both games without wearing out our guys.  I like our odds.

The Orioles were always one of the "other" teams I liked to watch.  That’s changing every time they play the Yankees.

Terry Mullholland…is he 107 or what?  Seriously.  When your hair is that grey, it might be time for a haircut Terry.

Found out today that J can make it to the game with me on Saturday.  J is hardcore…and a real good guy to boot.  I can’t imagine anyone I would have more fun with at a Yanks/Sox game that could and probably will mean so much.  I was excited about going, but having J with me makes it that much better.  It’s a good sign, too!

And I’m glad Wake is pitching instead of Schilling.  For a totally silly reason.  The Sox have a better record at games I go to with Wake on the mound than with Schill on the mound.  Not that I don’t have faith in Schill…I certainly do.  Just not when I’m in the same park as he is.

White Sox lost another one with a walk off.  My how the mighty have fallen.  Where are all the ChiSox fans who were emailing me earlier this season about how the "Real" Sox were going to dominate the entire AL?

1-0 Yanks with the bases loaded and ARod up.  What’s worse is Ken Singleton and Michael Kay really believe that the O’s showing the Bucky Dent homerun yesterday actually "took the wind out of the sails" of the Red Sox fans at Camden Yards.  Could there be two bigger idiots on television?

Of course there can…but tonight they are the biggest idiots.

3-0 Yanks in the 4th.  It’s going to be a long week.  Lopez actually walked Jeter with the bases loaded and two outs.  These guys just want to call it a season and go home, don’t they?
